  On November 12, 2002, representatives of 34 states and the District of Columbia approved a final version of a multi-state Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement (the "Agreement") designed to simplify and modernize sales and use tax collection and administration. The final Agreement is the result of more than two years of collaboration among the states.
